I didn't really see this covered anywhere but thought I would ask.

I am going on vacation and putting digital copies on the ipad for my daughter. Well I ran out of space on my ipad 32 gigs.

I was wondering if there was a way to share/copy the movies on my iphone straight to my ipad.

there won't be any internet on my flight or where I am going, So icloud is out of the question.

Any thoughts or ideas would be great thanks.

I assume that you are talking about MP4 videos and not AVI videos decoded on third party applications.

Instructions
  1. Get AirServer for iOS on your iPad.
  2. After that, install PdaNet on your iPhone. Broadcast the Wi-Fi to your iPad. It doesn't matter if you have Internet access on your iPhone or not.
  3. Open AirServer for iOS on your iPad and the MP4 video on your iPhone.
  4. AirPlay the video from your iPhone to your iPad like a boss.

This will work because:
  • You don't need Internet access on both devices. In fact, you can install PdaNet on the iPad and AirServer on the iPhone and still achieve the same thing. This is because AirPlay streaming doesn't require data.
  • It works extremely well.

Best of luck.

Or, if you are willing to spend some money, look into wifi hard drives.

if you bought on itunes shouldnt you be able to download to any device? unless your daughter is using another apple ID but I assume you could just sign in yours on the itunes store or something?
