Hi,

Ive searched the forums and what Im asking is does anyone know of a single programme that will transfer all apps, music, photos, contacts, videos, etc. from iphone to a macbook pro. And then allow one to then sync this up to itunes?

This is as I have an iphone synced to a PC but have just bought a macbook pro and am wondering what is the easiest way to start syncing my phone to the mac without any loss of data? Thanks for the help, apologies if it has been asked before as I could not find anything specifically towards all of this.
Cheers!

You need to physically copy all of your photos and music that you didn't buy through iTunes. You can use itunes to transfer purchases tfrom your phone to the new computer.

Im a brand new iPhone owner too, three fun days. I just plugged my iPhone into my Mac and it put in all my email information automatically. There were other things that it did, you have to pick the tab you want, then if you want it to sync, you have to click the button.
I was advised to WAIT on my music until I had figured out what I wanted to transfer onto my iPhone, I dont want to fill it up with all the music on my Mac. I want to wait and pick and choose what to transfer later on.

If I am confused by anything, I prefer to wait, read thru the posts here on this great forum, ask our kids(the ones who have iPhones), or ask a friend.

Another thing, I was used to a camera card in my old Samsung phone, and to transfer my pictures, I just plugged it into my card reader on my Mac.
With the iPhone all my friends said you have to pick the pictures you want and email them to your computer to see them on the big screen. You have another option, plug your iPhone into your Mac, and while your battery charges, iPhoto will open and ask you if you want to transfer your pictures, select all or just a few. Wicked easy!

I havent even started grabbing apps yet,,,,,, just playing with the cameras and getting used to the new little computer, yup, its a computer, a phone, a videocam, a camera, a compass, more and more.
Fun!

hi jane

iphones are great arent they! you will never remember wot it was like without one!! they make everyday things so much better and funner!!

thanks for the replies people. does ne1 know of a single program that will automate this process?

thanks

I dont know about a single program automating it, as my kids say that you dont want to do too much or import too much at once. You want to choose and be able to make decisions of what you want.
I guess this is why they told me not to Sync the music nor to import all the pictures.
Ive been using the camera and the video all day taking pictures of our dog at the beach.
The compass and the maps are cool!
Will import the best ones into my Mac later tonight.
Sure is fun!
