Transfer files from PC to mac?

I've got a 4.5GB Video file on my PC laptop, and I'm getting my Macbook Pro next week, how can I transfer this file? Is there anyway to do it via an ethernet cable? the PC dosent have firewire and I dont have a USB external HD, so I dont know the best way to go about this, thanks!

Does it have wireless? If so...do this:

1. Move the file into a shared folder (meaning the file can be shared on the network.
2. Go to Wireless Zero Configuration Service or similar program
3. Create a AdHoc network (for this purpose unless you're doing it at a coffee shop or something just leave it without security.
4. Connect your macbook pro to the Adhoc network
5. Enable Windows sharing on the Macbook Pro by going to control panel and turning on Windows sharing
6. Go to connect to server->type in smb://<insert name of computer here>
7. Make sure Windows is set up to file share
8. Connect
9. Navigate to folder
10. Transfer it to desktop
11. Open finder, transfer it to movies.



That's one way of doing it. If you have an infrastructure wireless network you can do it that way too.
