I'm sure this has been covered before but I have searched and can't find anything that has helped me.

I'm on OSX 10.6 and I'm trying to wirelessly transfer files from my Windows 7 PC to this Macbook.

So far I have enabled file sharing and enabled the Windows SMB. The Windows computer is connected to WORKGROUP. This computer is connected to WORKGROUP as well I guess? I don't know how to tell.

Anyway, what is the next step? I tried just typing smb://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx in the Go > Connect to Folder but that didn't work.

If you have problems with the built-in site search, you should also try MRoogle (see link in sig) as it often has better results. I found this thread here, which may be of help. I don't have Win7 so don't know what may be different.

As far as finding out what workgroup your Mac is on:
System Preferences > Network > Advanced > WINS > Workgroup
