Hi:

I know I can read PDFs, spreadsheets etc. when they come in as attachments, but what if I want to just transfer them via USB to my iPhone so they can be opened from the phone without going at it by email?

iTunes only seems to move the things it wants to move (photos, music etc.) but not just any other file. Is there a good app out there?

Thanks..

If you have a mobileme account you can use your iDisk.. You can also check out Dataviz's app, "Documents to go".

There are a TON of choices for you. If you want to treat your iPhone as if it were a "wireless" USB drive, then I recommend Air Sharing.

+1 for Air Sharing if you have a personal network..if it's a school or work network it may not work well..
