Hi. I have a large (>60 GB) amount of data on a SATA HD (which is currently in my PC) that I would like to put on my MacBook. I have a separate external HD that I could transfer the data to and then to the laptop, but I was wondering if there was a SATA connector internal to the laptop that I could plug into. Or is there another internal connector that I could use a converter to plug into?

Thanks in advance.

Nope. Not without major surgery

Easiest thing is to get a USB or Firewire external case with an internal SATA connection, put the drive in the case, and hook it up. USB is slower, but you should be able to find a USB/SATA case for $30 or less.

I'll just route my data through my external hd...

Would have been nice if they'd added a SATA connector that you could plug into...

Oh well, just another big disappointment involved in owning a MacBook.
