I had an iMac delivered recently which was usable but faulty. I have been using it for a week and it is set up perfectly. Apple sent out a replacement, which has now arrived. Is there a simple way I can set up the replacement as an exact replica of the first machine by copying the data across?

Thank you.

If you have a Thunderbolt cable, connect them together, put the old one in "Target Disk Mode", and use the Migration Assistant Option presented during setup of the new machine.

You can also connect them with a ethernet cable for similar but slower results.
