Hi there

I'm currently using Windows Vista and i'm sick of it - therefore i've decided to shift to Windows 7!

The problem is that i, of course, have all my music (mp3 files scattered all around the harddrive - yes i know it's stupid) on Vista - and i want to do a full install of Windows 7 and thus deleting all current files!

I have a 32gb iPhone 3Gs (i state the capacity because of the iPhone backup solution mentioned below) - and i really don't want to mess anything up with that - i want it to continue syncing as if nothing had changed, when i sync on the 7 for the first time!

How do i transfer all my music and have it remain available in iTunes, with playlists, times played, ratings and all after the clean install?
I wouldn't mind if i could actually have all my music mp3s moved to 1 big Music folder - as long as i won't have to add them to iTunes again and screw up my playlists and possibly also my iPhone..

Are these things possible? I have around 25gb music, but will i have to use the DVDs backup solution, can i simply use the iPhone itself as backup untill i restill on the fresh Windows 7 - or are there any other better solutions?

Hope that you guys can help me out here, since my iPhone - and hence iTunes - are ofcourse my most important gadget(s)! ;)

Sorry for the pretty long thread!

Thanks in advance

Rasmus
