Lost my 2G iPhone. A friend gave me his old 3G (firmware 4.2.1, baseband 5.15.04). When I attached it to my Mac PowerPc G4 (10.4.11), I was required to update to itunes to 10. However, I could not update to itunes 10 unless my operating system was 10.5 or higher. Because of the age of my computer, I could not upgrade the OS to anything higher than 10.4.

Plan two: Got out my laptop running OS 10.5.8 and updated to itunes 10. My question now is how do I migrate all my apps and contacts and itunes data and music from my old computer to my laptop and how do I sync my iPhone so that my friend's data is removed (I guess I could just do a restore) and my data is installed on the phone?.

Thanks
