Is there a way I can move the music I have in the ipod to my new Mac?
Is there an app allowing doing so?
I could not figure out how to solve this, any application built for the purpose?

Is a good app iMazing? Anybody tested it?
Does it make sense taking it just for transfer some music or are there other way for the one-shot purpose?
I appreciate the link, anybody can google something.
The point of asking it in a community like this is to have feedback, something already experienced by other users and share it.
If we just google everything we need we can just shut the forum down.
In the list of applications usually recommended I never find something to transfer files so I was wondering how actual mac users do it.

Thanks

Two you could look at are Senuti or Sharepod. I used Sharepod to do this a couple of years ago, but it was free then. I assume the functionality is still similar.

I use iMazing for my iPhone and iPad Air and it works great. I can copy files from either of those two products to my MBP without having to be connected to iTunes or the MPB. iMazing allows you to do what you need to do over Wi-Fi should you wish. Backups are fast. I can take a full backup to store on the MBP, as well as snapshots, which I keep on my NAS. It has a lot of great features and it is a product I highly recommend. I haven't used it on my iPod Classic so, I can't speak to that specifically. If the former is any indication, the iPod features and ability will be just as rich, once I get around to the iPod.
