Hey guys,
Just got my new MacAir about 2 weeks ago. Ive been using a PC my whole life and the only thing i really want to transfer from my pc laptop is all my music from itunes so I can start using music editing programs and and set up my iphone with my new computer. Last night i tried using the migration assistant with an Ethernet cable to transfer my music folder. After it transfer and i go into the user folder from my PC on my mac and try to open the folder it says its locked and I don't have permission to open it. I've changed the properties for the folder on my PC to share, and unchecked the "read-only" option on the folder as well and tried to transfer again, but no luck. Any advice how I can get this to work, short of buying an external hard drive since I just bought the Ethernet cable and adapter. Thanks!!

"locked" usually means there's a process running in background that's locked access to the folder.

Did you reboot both computers and try again before posting your question?
