Transfer music library from iPhone to new iTunes library

My external hard drive with my entire music library is giving me issues so I would like to move my music to a new library as a backup. My external hard drive won't stay connected long enough to copy over but everything is on my iPhone.

Is there a way to transfer the music from my iPhone to a newly created iTunes library?

yes. there's a software called sharepod you can get all your music of an ipod/iphone and back onto a new computer, and transfer it into a new itunes library. the only thing it won't do is put purchased stuff from itunes back onto the laptop, but you get get that back form the store.
