I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro. I want to transfer Parallels and my Windows virtual machine from the iMac to the MBP. I have a time machine backup from the iMac. I have tried using Time Machine on my MBP, however, when I drill down to the Parallels application I can't select it for restore. While I haven't tried it for the actual virtual machine file I suspect I will encounter the same thing. I have also tried using the Migration Assistant, however, it wants to move ALL of my applications which I don't want it to do.

Am I missing something? Is there another way to use Time Machine or Migration Assistant to move the Parallels application and its respective virtual machine? Should I take another approach?
