transfer PC contacts to new Mac

I want to transfer my PC Outlook contacts to my new Mac while maintaining the Categories I've created so that they will become Groups in the Mac. Currently, when I transfer my PC contacts to my iPhone and iPad, the categories disappear, and the contacts all appear in alphabetical order, which doesn't help me, as I've ordered them alphabetically within the categories.
