Transfer Purchases - HD Folder not found

I have just rebuilt my Mac Mini 2012 with El Capitan, and the latest iTunes. I transferred the Music folder from the Yosemite back-up created before the rebuild.

I tried to back-up my iPad. The back-up worked, but when it tried to transfer the purchases, I get the message "Attempting to copy to the disc Mackintosh HD failed. The required folder cannot be found."

I cannot find any mention of this problem on the web. Can anyone help?
