Hello there

I wanted to transfer my music to my new iPhone 15 Pro and experimented with the following:

  1. Transferring 66 GB from Mac mini M1 to SSD Sandisk: 2 min
  2. Transferring 66 GB from SSD Sandisk to MacBook Pro M1: 2 min
  3. Synchronizing 66 GB music from MacBook Pro M1 to iPhone 15 Pro: 5 or 6 minutes

For all transfers, I used the USB Sandisk SSD cable. I tried before with the USB cable sold in the box of the iPhone 15 Pro and it took 30+ minutes, because I believe it's USB 2.0, right?

I can live happily and use the extra minute to contemplate my life choices but just for my own curiosity, why wouldn't it take only 2 min to transfer from Mac to iPhone?

Your mac has 40Gbps Thunderbolt/USB-4. In iPhone 15 pro/max it’s only 10Gbps
