Hi. I have now got my new iPhone 4 & want to transfer all my apps/mail accounts/mms etc from my old iPhone 3.
However my iPhone 3 was sync'd on a 10.4.1 mac & my new phone needs 10.5+.
I copied my iTunes lib to my other mac (27" iMac) which is running 10.6.4, but the sync has not copied all mail accounts (one is exchange) nor any mms.

Any tips or ideas what I am doing wrong?

Oh ok, so if I copy that (or thinking about it backup my iPhone 3 on the iMac) that will do it? Which do you think would be best of these 2?

Also will I need to restore my iPhone 4 to start again?

Thanks for your help.

From that backup and having all the music, photos, apps etc that you had before you should be able to restore everything to the way it was on your old phone.

I do believe that you will need to restore your iPhone 4 again in order for it to use that backup.
