I am going on a cruise on a small charter boat next week, and I am looking for a way to get videos from my 64 gb iPhone to my 16 gb ipad despite lacking wifi, internet, 3g or a computer. Basically bluetooth seems to be the only mode I'll have available. I have the photo transfer app but it states very clearly that both devices must be connected to the same wifi network before starting the process. Any ideas? Thanks!

Doesn't Airdrop also require that you both be on the same wifi network?
Edit ohhhh now I see, it creates the ad-hoc wifi network, it doesn't require that you both be on one. Cool! Duh.

No, it uses Bluetooth to then setup a peer-to-peer wifi connection for data transfer between the two devices.
