Transference speed of Time-Capsule-Macbook

I was testing my transference between my Time capsule and my Macbook and I think that is a kind of slow, but I am not completely sure.

I have calculate the wireless transference in 2.9 megabytes/second and the Ethernet transference in 12.7 megabytes/second.
I think that they should be higher but I don't really know. My USB hardrive is going to 21 megabytes/second.

Any idea of how to improve my speed?

Time Machine backs up slowly. It has nothing to do with your Time Capsule.
The first backup will take a long time, but each backup after that will only backup the changes, so they won't take as long.
