Transfering contacts from PC to Mac

I use Outlook for work (PC) and I am looking to switch to a MacBook but I was told it is not possible to transfer my contacts...I have almost 6,500 of them and would not really like to do this by hand.

Any ideas?

You should be able to "drag" all your contacts out of Outlook in to a folder where they will all show as individual vCards. Copy those to your Mac and drag in to the Address Book.

Same principle as I suggested, the reason I didn't say to e-mail them is that 6500 contacts is a bit much!
