Transfering Contents

I have a 2G iPhone that I currently have synced up with a PC. In the near future I am going to be purchaing a MB or an iMac. How can I transfer all the contents from the iPhone to the new computer? I want to pretty much stop using my PC and dont want to worry about loosing all my music and such.
