Transfering files between a MAC and PC using wireless pc-to-pc network?

Allright so I have a MACBOOK and a PC Laptop both with wireless cards. Now I want to transfer a view files from the PC Laptop to my MACBOOK. Can anyone explain how to do this?

I tried creating a network but I couldn't get the two pc's to see eachother and therfor transfer the files.
