Hello @All,

as I'd like to set up my iPhone 14 Pro Max today, I'd like to transfer (before data transfer to the new phone) all my photos (40K) to my PC.

I really don't wanna carry over all these photos to my new phone.
And deleting all unnecessary pictures would take me days...
(Things got out of control, I'd say)

As mentioned by users online it is possible, to simply transfer all photos via the Windows 10 photos app?
Does this also work for 40K photos at once? :D
I do remember, when I've tried to transfer photos to my PC via Windows Explorer, it always stopped/hung after some mins. (If necessary, I have a 2016 Macbook Pro available but I'd like to store the files on my desktop)
Larger videos weren't displayed at all.

And after the transfer to Windows, how do I delete all photos on my iPhone?
Within the 'Recents' folder, I don't have the possibility to select all.

Thanks!!

I hook my iPhone to my Windows PC, trust the computer, and copy all the photos to the PC using Windows file manager. Once the pictures have copied, I delete the folders on the iPhone. The iPhone will look like a standard device, with folders, on the Windows desktop. Do not use the Windows Photo App, use file manager.
