transfering pictures from iPad 2 to laptop.

I'm very new to using the iPad 2 and I am wondering if there is a way to transfer my pictures and video from it to my laptop. Is there somthing I need to connect to the laptop? I don't see a place to connect anything.

try an app called "DropBox" and download it on your computer as well as your Ipad. whatever photo's or documents you link to those you can view in other devices that has the apps
