I made a huge mistake & didn't back up my data before I sent my iBook in for repair and lost my iTunes library. I still have all the songs on my iPod and heard there is some software that will allow me to transfer the songs from my iPod to iTunes. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Try something like Broken Helix....

Broken Helix is a "dmg" file and will not download to my iBook. Any thoughts. Also, I downlowaded iTunes Dupes Barrier, but not sure if its similar to Broken Helix... Thanks again for any feedback.

DMG means disk image. It's a common format for apple install files, and you don't need any special software to read it. Are you sure it didn't download? If you're using Safari, you should get a second little window that pops up and tells you what loaded. And then if you click on the magnifying glass next to it, it'll take you to it in Finder. If you double click on the dmg file, it will mount as if it were a disk, and then you can copy the file over.

I don't know anything about iTunes Dupes Barrier, unfortunately...but from reading the description, it doesn't look like it does anything related at all to what you want.

If you still have trouble with Helix, try one of these other utilities:
