Hi All,

I just bought Imac 27". I have an old macbook (late 2006) that has all my photos. I used to have iphoto as my main software. Then i started using aperture. Now, my question is how do i transfer all my photos and aperture album to my new imac. I will no longer going to use my macbook for aperture.

In your Utilities folder is a program called Migration Assistant that is designed to do this.

From your ~/Pictures folder on the Macbook, copy the iPhoto Library and Aperture Library* to the ~/Pictures folder on the new iMac.

* If you used referenced files in Aperture you'll also need to copy the folder(s) containing the images over as well then relocate the masters within Aperture.
