Transferring applecare

We purchased applecare on the imac. The applecare was purchased using a student discount. Can the warranty still be transferred to a third party.

Yes it will transfer fine. The only thing apple checks is the serial number to see if it's covered.

Yes but if you read the fine print on your applecare agreement, apple can ask you to mail/fax in proof of applecare purchase along with agreement #, new owner(s) name & address and aforementioned serial #.

I'm also selling a computer with Applecare. Is it possible for the new owners to find out any personal information such as credit card numbers or addresses previously used on that warranty?
