Transferring ApplePay to new iPhone

Just curious to how ApplePay works and if the data I have on my 5S(for the Watch) will transfer over to the 6S? Or will I have to do it all over again? Is it linked to my Apple ID or doesn't it run on it's own account?...

I can't even remember the details when I set it up. I initially had it on 6, then went back to a 5S+watch which required me to set it up all over again and contact the banks for approval.

You will have to set it up all over again. I get my phone and watch ready so I only have to call once.
