Transferring Contacts to Iphone via txt file

Hi I have a vodafone sim card with all my contacts on it, how can I transfer these to my Iphone that is on O2, I have managed to get all the conatct into a txt file on a cd, I have an Ibook running Leopard as well, if I could plug the Vodafone sim straight into my Iphone I could copy the contacts straight across.

Any advice would be appreciated
