I am trying to transfer my data over from another Mac book Pro to my new Mac Book Pro. The old one has a broken disk, I went through utilities and tried to repair it and it said I had to wipe it clean because it wasn't repairable. I keep getting the kernel error on the start up and I can't even load to the desktop. When I plug in the thunderbolt cord and hold t on the computer I am transferring from, it makes the connection. I can see my library/applications/etc but when I click on users and leave it to load it just never loads. Am I doing something wrong? I would really appreciate any help!

It does sound like you are doing anything wrong at all. It just sounds like you have a bad drive. You could try pulling the drive out and putting it in an external enclosure then using a tool like Disk Warrior to recover files off the disk.

Cab't you restore the data to the new machine from the last Time Machine backup that was done on the old machine?
