Hi all

My boss has asked me to transfer everything from his iPhone 4 to his iPhone 5. He asked me cos I got the new iphone5 already however I set up from new cos I haven't had an iPhone before.

He hasn't a clue about tech stuff so I said I'd do it for him.

My understanding is you back up all your photos, music, contacts etc using iTunes and then restore iPhone 5 from back up ? Is that correct? I know people have been havin trouble with battery life this way but I'm not bothered. Boss just doesn't wanna lose anything.

Is that the best way or am I missing something?

Thanks guys

Yes, you can either use iTunes or iCloud.

I restored mine via iCloud w/o any problem. Good luck :)

You can either do a full backup to itunes or icloud.

iCloud is a little slower but much better since the backup is stored on a server instead of your computer and he can restore without the need of your computer...plus his stuff won't be on your comp.

If you have a base account you might not be able to get all the photos, but I would recommend backing up photos to iPhoto and then excluding it from the iCloud backup. That's what I do. When I restore from iCloud the only thing I don't get is photos....but I get everything else.
