Hi all, I recently got a new MBP that's running Catalina 10.15.5 and was about to migrate my files over via Time Machine back-up. But I realized there are several important apps that are no longer supported on Catalina (probably due to being 32-bit).

Is it possible to do a clone of my old MBP onto the new MBP -- including the old OS High Sierra 10.13.6? Will that allow 32-bit apps to work again if it's on old OS? Just wanted to ask before I do anything. Is that done via Time Machine back-up as well or do I need a different software like SuperDuper?

Thank you for any help, really appreciate it!

That depends on the OS the MBP was released with.
So if your new MBP ( some may say "new", because it's a new device for them , but bought as used), came with Catalina, it will not be possible to install a previous version of the OS e.g. Mojave or High Sierra.

Yes, the new MBP came with Catalina installed. 😢 I'll just have to find alternatives for those unsupported apps. Thanks for the help!
