Transferring files from osx to windows xp

So how do i go about transferring files from osx to windows xp if im using a FAT partition?

I also have an old windows xp home edition cd... will this work on my macbook?

OSX reads and writes on FAT32, so you can drag files to the XP partition.
OSX reads NTFS natively but to write on it it requires something like Paragon NTFS for OSX.
