I have a 1TB drive on my Windows PC and I'd like to move it over to an external drive I will use with my Macbook Air, since I'm selling off the PC.

I formatted the external drive with HFS and installed MacDrive on Windows, then downloaded AllwaySync on Windows and set it to sync the two drives. I hit a snag however. I do have a number of files whose names are not in English (some are in Russian for example), and when they get copied over they are losing these non English letters. How can I solve it, and is my approach for copying over the files correct?
