Transferring From iMac to Air

I'm getting a new Air (whenever it comes out) and had a question about transferring over from my iMac.

I just want to Transfer my iTunes Library over...That's it.

Should I backup Time Machine from my iMac...hook my Time Machine (External Hard Drive) up to the Air and use Time Machine on the Air's iTunes Library? (From the iMac version?)

Would this work?
Or is there another way of doing this?

Save the folder labeled "iTunes library" onto your backup drive, then, on the air, drag that folder into the same place the Airs iTunes library is saved. If it asks to replace, then replace with the library folder from the iMac.

Im sorry if that is unclear, I don't have my computer in front of me.
