I need a program to transfer texts from my iPhone to save/view on my PC. I found one program (Tansee) but the free version only lets you save 100 txts and the full one cost $20 (no thanks). I know there is a mac program similar to tansee that is free but unfortunately I do not have access to a Mac at this time.

So, does anyone know of a PC program that would allow me to transfer my SMS txts from my iPhone to save/view on my PC?

thanks

Well, it's not the best solution...but if you find the backup folder iTunes creates, one of the files inside contains all of your texts...it's just up to you to sort them and whatnot:p

Anyway, look for a file called 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28.mdbackup, that should be it. If that file doesn't exist...just ignore this post.

platform independent online solution (i.e. working with windows, too) for transfering your iphone's sms to your computer would be http://insend.de

there was a program in the last macheist bundle that will let you do that, I think it was called phoneview or something. Check around the forum, someone might transfer you their license if they don't want that program.

edit- http://ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/

can replacing this same file reproduce your texts onto your phone? for example....

if you set up as a new phone and then add that file to your back up and restore from your newly created back up then would that "reload" your texts back onto your phone?

sorry to drudge up an old post but I thought it was better then starting a new one.
