I'm upgrading my iPod touch to a 32GB one, and after spending so much time entering notes, Google Maps data, Weather locations, and home screen icons and layout, I want to make sure transferring this all to the new iPod will be as easy as in this article says it is.

Has anyone done this, and is it pretty smooth, or is it kind of like doing an upgrade instead of a fresh install where I might run into some quirks?

Thanks.

I am not entirely sure when there is a change in memory size, but when I got my iPod exchanged and plugged into my computer, a window popped up asking if I wanted to make it a copy of my previous iPod. It made it exactly the same, my wifi networks, the websites I was last on, my last map position, and my notes. But this was an exchange with the same memory size, the fact that you are changing memory sizes, it might be different.
