Transferring iTunes playlists from a PC

I've recently bought an iMac having previously only used PCs.

Using a external hard drive that backed-up the PC I've moved my iTunes library to the mac. However, I've not been able to bring over my playlists. Is this possible and how should I do it?

If you select 'backup to disk' and burn your entire library to DVDs off the PC, then it should create an identical library on your Mac after installing with the DVDs you burnt. It will keep everything, playlists, rating, play count etc.

It will take a lot of DVDs if you have a big collection, took 10 DVDs for my 30Gb library.
