Transferring movies on iPad (USB)

Hi to all!

I was just ondering what were the different options available to me if I want to import movies on my iPad from an external hard drive.
It seems that with a bit of tweaking (JB) and a camera connection kit, it would work right?

Is there any other way?

Because: (i) I am not sure it works and (ii) the tweaking seems a bit cumbersome.

Did you get it to work using the camera kit? There is a app for the iPhone and iPad that will transfer apps from you Mac but not from external drives that I know of.

Actually I haven't bought the camera kit yet, that's why I was asking.

Yeah, you are right, I don't think there are apps that allow that.
