transferring music from iphone to itunes

So recently, my Macbook Pro's hardrive crashed, I got a new one and thankfully I backed everything up on my time machine. All my music is still on my ipod, and my computer is authorized, but when I plug in my computer, the music on the ipod does not transfer to itunes. Is there a way to do this?

well this is probably impossible but I did try googling and the best thing i could find was a program I had to pay for. There really is no way to use the time machine to get the music in itunes library?
