Transferring PC files to a mac

Just want to know before i get a mac, will I be able to transfer some of the stuff I've acquired on my pc to my new mac when i get it? Stuff like Jpegs, movies and photoshop files (psd). If so how?

The best way is to connect both machine to a network and have the PC "share" it's drive(s) then on the Mac drag the folders over.

Another neat trick would be to buy an empty USB/Firewire disk enclosure and put the PC drive in that and plug it in to the mac. You will need an external drive for backups. May as well re-cycle the old PC parts and move files at the same time

OR you can also, install your pc hard drive in the mac, Ive done it works really good.
