Transferring Pix's From iPhone To USB Stick ?

Hi,

I have over 2,000 photos on iPhone.
Want to share with another party; way too much to send them via e Mail.

So, I bought one of these USB style sticks that has one end to plug into the iPhone, and the
other end being a normal USB male to plug into a pc.
O.K. So, I plug it into the iPhone.

No (new) indication that the iPhone has seen it.

The Select Items box shows on the bottom (as usual), so I can select 1 or a few.
But that's it.

I can also do a select ALL, but not sure if this really worked. No check mark or other indication.

If someone could take pity on me, and please run me thru all the steps, in excruciating detail, to transfer
to my new memory stick, would be most appreciative.

Blame it on old age, very, now. (no instructions came with the stick)

First off - have you read this?

Connect external storage devices to iPhone

On iPhone, use files stored on USB storage devices and SD cards.

Assuming the above document doesn't show a mistake you've made, let's try this:

Open the Files app. Under "Browse", do you see the USB stick listed?

I got this to work on my phone with an ordinary USB stick and an Apple USB-C to USB-A adapter.
