My #1 iTunes computer is at home, my #2 iTunes computer is at work.

Today I transferred a purchased song from my iPod to my computer at work. It told me to authorize the already authorized computer, and I did. It still thought there were the 3 authorized computers, that I knew about.

I then bought a song, turned off auto-sync, and dragged it to my iPod. When I got home, I told it to transfer purchased songs. It said I couldn't, and told me to authorize the computer. I authorized it again, and tried transfering the purchases again. It told me I'm not authorized to play it on this computer, and told me again to authorize my computer.

I repeated this cycle 4 times, without getting it transferred to my #1 computer.

A day later, I found the song is gone from my iPod. Auto-sync must have gotten rid of it. I just copied the directory it's on from my work computer and will take it home.

Is there some way to see which computer my iTunes thinks it is authorized as? (Primary, 2, 3, 4, or 5?) Or to change it if it is confused?

But shouldn't I be able to purchase a song from any of these computers and play it from all of them?
