Well my old g5 1.6ghz bit the dust and I was finally able to upgrade. The only stuff I really want to save is the itunes music I have on there. The question is, how do I get it over? The g5 is running 10.2.8. Feasibly couldn't I just transfer all the music onto a flash drive and put it on the imac that way? Oh one more things, I don't have a monitor for the g5 tower... could I use the imacs screen for my g5? And yeah how would I do that. Thanks guys. Please excuse me for being so computer illiterate.

I think you would need to boot the G5 into Target mode and connect the two using a firewire cable. You should be able to boot the G5 without a screen.

Then migration assistant will pick it up. When going from my G5 to my new imac most of the applications I transferred did not work since they were PPC only versions so you may not want to bother transferring those.
