Transferring stuff to external hard drive.

Would transferring songs from my mbp hd to external hd be a bad idea. because i would only be able to listen to them when my external hard drive is plugged it right?

so do you also keep your itunes songs on your mbp hard drive or just plug in your external drive to listen to music?

maybe ,maybe not..It depends on why do you want to do this? To free up more space on your HD or as a backup?

Having two copies would be good from a back-up point of view.

Yes. Unless you hooked the disk up to an airport extreme. (or connected wirelessly some other way.)

i though of freeing up some space but then though rationally lol, that the songs would only be in my hd
