Transferring to the new MBPTB

Hey all.

I plan on buying a MBP TouchBar with 512GB SSD. I currently have an iMac 27” 5K with a 1TB FHD. I utilise about 350gb of the space and have a Time Machine BU of the iMac.


I was wondering, so long as the TM BU doesn’t exceed that of the SSD of the MBP, there shouldn’t be a problem should there when migrating data over? In theory at least...

Just want some clarification.

Yep... that should work just fine.

Just a tip though, make sure you do the TM import during system setup when prompted. Don't make an account and login then try to do the import. That will often cause all sorts of account permissions issues.
