OK, so I decided to take on this project of capturing my old video from my Sony TRV 17. I went ahead and did my first tape, it was only 5 minutes long.
For some reason it broke the clip up into 3 clips. The first clip is nearly 5 minutes, with a 2 second clip and a 4 second clip. I did not stop recording at any point there. When I play the video back in the preview box on top, it plays through smoothly.
When I drag it to the timeline and play it back, there is a quick gap in sound between the clips. It seems as if I can not put the clips back to back. Any clue on how I can fix that?
Also any suggestion on how I should export the files? I am undecided if I just want to leave them on the computer or put them on DVD at this point. Is there a way to convert the files so they are not so big? The 5 minute clip I captured before is over a gig!
Thanks
PS Just to let you know, the video is MiniDV and SD so it has the blackbars on the side.
