Transferring Win8 bootcamp partition to new mac?

I find that moving applications and data from an old mac to a new mac is pretty easy, but I've never heard of anyone transferring applications/settings to a new Windows computer. New hardware usually causes it to crash and burn.

Has anyone on this board ever attempted to move their bootcamp install over to a new mac? Or is a fresh install of Windows absolutely the only way to do it? I was thinking about attempting a trial run with Win Clone and sysprep.
