"Transmission" Frustration

Hello,

I've just installed Transmission. I think it is downloading so slow, around 5 kb/s.

Is there any special configuration that improves it?

how many seeders (users at 100% and uploading) are listed where you downloaded the torrent? if there is only a couple it may take a while to fully connect to them especially if theres more leechers (users still downloading).

also what is your port's status in Transmission's preferences under Network?

i have had nothing but good from Transmission.

Dowloading 10 of 20 peers...at moment 2 kb/s.

And the port is 51413.

I started this downloading (700MB) 8 hours ago and just downloaded 86MB.
