I recently installed transmission as per request of my IT guy at work. We are using it for transferring large files. He download and set up the one on my windblah machine, but I don't know how to set this one up. I installed it and its downloading the files I need but very slow compared to my other machine. Can anyone help on how to optimize the download speed? I used to get downloads of 1mb/s now its close to 40kb/s. Should I be using a different torrent downloader? If my IT guy wasn't on vacation I'd just ask him, but he's more of a windows guy and probably just tell me to use my other computer, but I'd really like to start using this at work more.
